The last issue of the European Structural & Investment Funds Journal (EStIF) in 2017 discusses some of the technical issues and themes with which managing authorities must deal in the course of setting-up and launching new programmes in the fourth year of the the 2014-2020 programming period.

Among others, the authors focus on topics such as State aid and Smart Specialisation Strategies, the assessment of the closure of the 2007-2013 ERDF and CF programmes, examining complaints under ESIF programmes or innovative Plans for Administrative Reinforcement (PRA) in Italy. A report on the 15th European Week of Regions and Cities rounds up the issue.
