The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of the process and outcome of the Interinstitutional negotiations for the EU cohesion policy legislative package for the 2014-2020 programming period, and to present a summary of how Parliament influenced the new legislation, in particular the Common Provisions Regulation (CPR).
